Tuesday kicked off our latest session for Trailblazers, this month with comic artist
Jay Piscopo. We're excited to be working with such a talented local artist who is also a great educator! This week's workshop focused primarily on using simple geometric shapes to create characters, including triangle Dracula and rectangle Frankenstein. Participants also got started on creating their own individual characters, which will eventually be turned into one- or two-page stories.
We're also psyched to have 12 middle school teens in this month's workshop, which is a new Trailblazers record! Stay tuned as we dive deeper into comic arts, and hopefully we'll be able to publish some teen work this month.
